The Vacuum Swing Adsorption system installed in RANITEC CETP has reduced the odour in the equalization tank and also reduction in the cost of purchasing liquid oxygen. Cost saved per month after installation of VSA system is 20 lakh.
Installation of Pelletizer (which is a softening unit) in PERTEC CETP has reduced the levels of calcium and total hardness of the effluent fed to the UF / RO membranes and thereby increasing the life of the membranes and performance, also reduction in O&M cost.
Installation of ozonation system in SIDCO-I and SIDCO-II CETPs has helped eliminate impurities of colour and odour in effluent.
The 1 tonne per hour solar steam generation plant installed in RANITEC CETP has resulted in saving of fire wood to the extent of 60 tonnes/month and also a direct impact on the reduction of O&M cost.
Upon installation of solar power plants under the IFLADP project, there is considerable reduction in the Operation and Maintenance cost estimated at between 30% and 50%, particularly with reference to the EB charges.

Installation of paddle dryer in RANITEC CETP has lead to considerable reduction in the cost of sludge disposal, on an average of Rs. 500 to Rs. 800 per tonne of sludge disposed.
Installation of 3rd stage RO and nano filtration membranes has reduced the pollution load of reject to the MEE leading to considerable reduction in O & M Cost.
Removal of ammonia using ammonia removal system has lead to the condensate from the MEE also being used by the member tanners who were earlier hesitant to use due to the odour of ammonia in the condensate.
